Much Better than iFitness

This is by far the best application for use while at the gym. Ive tested out iFitness (one of the top 25 iPhone apps) and it cant even compare. iStayFit is extremely easy to use as well as customize. Im able to keep track of all my workouts without disruption. If you accidentally exit the program, no problem, you can easily resume your current workout. The author of this software consistently releases updates and definitely listens to the community! Dont waste your money on other fitness applications. If you are a gym veteran then this is the software you want.

Great product, but. . .

I love this app, dont get me wrong, but I wish there was a "drag" feature so I could reorganize my workouts. Other than that, its almost as good as having a personal trainer.

iPhone 2G

I cant use this app in my iPhone first generation. I cant put my age! I cant put my weight.... Doesnt work!!!!! I re installed twice!

Love the app and all of the features, best workout tracker and completely customizable!! -note to developers: please clean up the icon pic! Looks too crowded, just put the silver dude or something simple!

Can I do zero stars?

Not much to say. I have a iPhone 3GS with 4.01 ios. I cant keep the program running for more than 2 seconds before crashing. Talk about blowing money.

Workout App of Choice

Great app! Would love a way to delete the exercises that come with the app, rather than just custom exercises. Wouldnt have to cycle through a bunch of exercises I do not use. Would also be great to be able to place an icon of sorts for custom exercises, rather than the box with an X. Overall a great app! Just for reference sake, Ive used Gym Buddy and Gym Goal. I much prefer the look and feel of iStayfit.

Good ap

I bought this app a few years ago when it was 1/3 the price it is now. At 2.99 I think it is good, but I wouldnt pay $10 for it. They have made a lot of good upgrades over the years, I have no complaints.

Solid application - Buy it!

Ive been using this app for more than a year now. Like most people Ive downloaded other workout apps and have waited for updates with the hope theyll beat the functionality of iStayfit. It hasnt happened yet! One of the biggest benefits of this app is the ability to plan the sets, reps, and weight. The ability to view the last workout stats while youre in the exercise is also a great motivator to go heavier. The only thing missing from this app is the ability to see a checkmark in the calendar when a workout is completed. There is no way you can go wrong with this app! I wouldnt workout without it! --------------------------------------- Ive given this application high marks for prior versions. But for anyone searching for an app to track workout results - you cant go wrong with this application. Since purchasing there have been almost weekly updates. Ver. 3.1 has it all - ability to track body weight, you can add sets on the fly, throw in a new excersice while youre in a workout, and now with the graphing you can see past results and crank it up all while youre in the workout! Graphing and results are also available in history. And dont forget the calendar planning. This app just gets better and better. The developer really cares about this app and his customers. Ive never seen the kind of support provided through his web site from other apps. And the documentation is first-class. And make no mistake - this application is rock solid - it has never crashed! Great application. Great development team. Keep up the great work! ______________________________________________________________ Ive purchased other applications to track my workout results - and this one is by far the best Ive used. The number of exercises that come with the app is fantastic. And adding exercises is fast and easy. One drawback to a lot of apps out there is the inability to put together a workout plan with exercises combined with sets and reps. iStayFit has it and it’s easy to setup. I can literally put a workout together laying in bed in just a few minutes! Another advantage of iStayFit is how easy it is to update data while you’re working out. The countdown timer was a great update to help maintain focus on reducing the rest periods. I used to think that all the pictures and videos was totally unnecessary – but while I was working out with my son I found that they actually came in handy in explaining to him how to perform exercises he’d never done. I’m buying him a copy. Reporting is great – and now with the log export I’ve got everything I need to ensure I’m making progress. Great application. Great design. And well built - it has never crashed. If you do cardio or strength training, get a good heart rate monitor and this application and you’re set.

Good App

I like this app very much the only thing this app needs is an online version that is sync with this app would pay more for this feature much like Gymtechic does which is an awesome app I had on my blackberry. But I love my iPhone now

An overpriced logbook. Bring back ifitness!

Bought this app to replace the discontinued ifitness. Why apple thinks it is ok to remove an app that I paid for is beyond me. And no refund of course. This app is good at TRACKING your workouts. It does not provide any GUIDANCE on how to work out. With ifitness you were able to select a muscle group and it provided you with pre-set yet customizable routines. They were very effective routines in that they provided very specific objectives (I.e, mass building, toning). Great for the on the go trainer who doesnt want to buy a book to go with the app. The workouts were very effective. Istayfit is an overpriced logbook! Apple needs to get over whatever their beef is with I fitness and start listening to their customers. And stop taking my apps!

Great app

This app is exactly what they say it is. I never understand all the poor reviews that people give apps based on their bad judgement of what they "thought" the app was supposed to do, all because they refused to research the product prior to purchase. If you want an app that helps you to progress in the gym, then this app is for you. It has quick and easy entry method so your not spending a lot of extra time logging information. If you want to know how to use equipment specific to your gym then hire a trainer or ask for a orientation tour of your gym. The only thing I wish they would do with this app, is offer a backup option. If you are tracking months of progress, and your phone crashes, you not only lose it all but you have to enter all of your workouts manually, again! Cmon guys, this is a must. Especially on a $10 app. There are FREE apps out there with a backup option. Add it already, and earn your FIVE STARS.

iStayFit (v5.2)

Was a bog fan of this app. It is very useful at the gym, but it has minor drawbacks that will drive you crazy. Go to the website and youll see there is no support for over a year. Which makes the (fee based) backup unreliable. I wish I didnt have my data all locked there. Given the price hike (I paid 6, now its 10), Id say this is no longer one of the top 3 gym companions.

Full featured app

I have fully enjoyed using this app for my workouts and love the ability to export data into an external spreadsheet. Weight log tracking also very useful. It meets my needs better than other fitness apps.

I cant lift weights without this x 1yr!!

Ive used this app every workout for about a year now, instead of bringing cards or notebooks with the latest mens health mag workout, I can take a few minutes to load ANY customized workout I want on this app and have it on my iPhone... Im listening to my music on the iPod app, and have my phone with me anyway! This app has a timer that beeps after my assigned rest time if I want, and it helps me chart the weight/reps I used last time vs this time vs my goal, and keeps a graph of all my weigh-ins and body fat percentage. I seriously love it!!!

Great app, but I discovered another bug (update)

Bumping this because I havent heard any traction on this issue... I love using this app - its pretty much got everything I need, except I found out recently that I would log a workout (90-minute yoga sessions are the only thing I have been doing as of late), and after Im done with class and hit End Workout Session to save the session, it seems to save fine, but if I come back later and look under Logs, Ive lost my workout sessions! This is in the latest version of the software and its very bothersome, because I need to keep my fitness data correct and rely a lot on this app to help me do it. NEW BUG: When I go to email a log to myself, no matter what, it always crashes on at least the first three tries. I have to keep attempting it until it takes. This is a definite bug. Im running the app on the latest and greatest firmware and software on an iPhone 3GS.

How about a refund

Love it, but...

iPhone 5 w/ iOS 6 Since the phone upgrade I am unable to track weight - all I see is the fractions. It hasnt been updated in way too long. I wouldnt recommend this to anybody until we get evidence that its still being supported.

No customer support!

Do not buy! Was a good app but now crashes when editing and absolutely zero customer support. Seems like they made their money and bailed out. Update: the App Store will refund your purchase price if you report the problem through customer service.

Best traning log ever but...

Love this app but does not work with the iPhone 5, every time I try to edit the workouts the app closes on me. Shame!!! I love this app when it works. Please fix this bug. Thanks.

Broken Now

I loved this app. Couldnt workout without it. Broken on iPhone 6 with iOS 8. Cant end a workout session. All my info - locked up.
